Liverpool John Lennon Airport is one of the UK's oldest operational airports. The airport is situated some 7 miles South East of Liverpool City Centre and adjacent to the Mersey Estuary. In 2002, Liverpool Airport had won the prestigious Fred Camenisch Award for its outstanding contribution towards tourism on Merseyside. Liverpool airport has 1 terminal and 1 runway.

The check in desk is located at the entrance of the terminal on the ground floor. Your travel documents will tell you when the latest time you can check in for your flight is, but it is highly recommended that you do not wait for that time. Try to arrive at the airport with plenty of time to check in so you will have time to just relax and enjoy the airport before your flight.

The information desk is located on the ground floor where, if you have any problems, help is available. Within the airport, there are many services available. Banks and Bureau de change are available, also telephones and postal facilities.

Food halls are available located within the terminal where a wide range of restaurants, cafés, snacks, pubs and bars are on offer. Shopping within the airport will save you a lot of money, as it is tax/duty free. Shops available are a pharmacy, sportswear shop, music store, gift shops, shoe shops and newsagents where you can quickly pick up that last minute thing that you need to purchase.

There are also other facilities available, such as baby care rooms and shower rooms.

Liverpool airport provide for the disabled. There is low-level telephone on Level 3 (landside) opposite toilets. Toilets are available in all areas. There are reserved car parking spaces in both short and long stay. Wheelchairs are available from near the Information Desk. Lifts are available to all levels and an ambulift vehicle to gain access to the aircraft without having to use steps. Make your special needs are known when booking your ticket.

Flight information is available all around Liverpool airport. There are flight display screens all over the terminal. You can also find out flight information using the Internet, teletext and telephone. Be sure of all of your flight details and information to make it a smooth journey.
