Location Of British Columbia
British Columbia is Canada’s most westerly province, bordered to the south by the USA, to the east by Alberta, to the north by the Northwest and Yukon Territories, and to the west by the Pacific Ocean and the & #8216;Alaskan Panhandle’. It is mainly covered by virgin forests and encompasses the towering Rocky Mountains, vast expanses of semi-arid sagebrush, lush pastures on Vancouver Island’s east coast, farmland in the Fraser River delta, and Fruitland in the Okanagan Valley.

Airports
Vancouver airport is 15km or 9 miles south-west of the city. It is served by airlines from the USA, Europe and the Far East. The journey to the city centre takes about 25 minutes.

The other major airports are Victoria, Prince Rupert, Prince George, Fort St. John, Kamloops, Kelowna, Castlegar, Cranbrook and Quesnel.

Language
Although Canada is officially bilingual (English and French), English is more commonly spoken in British Columbia.
