Location Of Greenland
Greenland is the world’s biggest island. The ice-free coastal
region, which is sometimes as wide as 120 miles, covers a total of
158,475 sq miles, and is where all of the population is to be found.
Deep fjords that connect the inland ice area with the sea intersect
this region. The Midnight Sun can be seen north of the Arctic Circle;
the further north one is, the longer the period of the Midnight Sun.
The arctic nights in the winter result in a continuous twilight and,
in the far north of the country, complete darkness. The Northern Lights
can be seen during the autumn, winter and early spring.

Tourism in Copenhagen for a list of tour operators.
Greenland is not a country for those seeking an ordinary holiday. It is a place of wild and rugged scenery and clear, clean air. The region may be seen on foot, by boat, plane, helicopter or dog sledge according to the season and the terrain.
