Location Of Libya
Libya consists mostly of huge areas of desert. It shares borders with Tunisia and Algeria in the west and Egypt in the east, while the Sahara extends across the southern frontiers with Niger, Chad and the Sudan. There are almost 1,250 miles of Mediterranean coast, with a low plain extending from the Tunisian border to the Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain) area in the east.

Airports
Tripoli International is 21 miles south of the city. Bus and taxi services are available to the city with a travel time of around 40 minutes.

Benghazi International airport is 12 miles from Benghazi city centre.

Sebha international airport is 7 miles from the town.

Language
The official language is Arabic, with some English or Italian. All road, shop and other signs are in Arabic. People working in hotels, restaurants and shops normally understand English.
